Rooftop Solar PV Projections (India)

Solar rooftops and distributed solar PV installations are gaining pace due to favourable policies, easier adoption and infusion of foreign investment. It has become critical for Project Developers to adopt a strategic approach to achieving budgeted IRRss throughout the contract period.

At Teqo, we have a complete set of products and services to maintain the consistency in the performance of solar PV assets. Our Asset Managers take full responsibility of the performance of assets; they restructure things according to the financial model, and look after operational, financial and commercial aspects of PV assets.

Here is how Teqo strategically tackles some regularly occurring challenges:

  1. Shortage of skilled O&M teams & dedicated manpower
Placing teams strategically at different locations becomes extremely important for developers to improve the response time. Teqo has 650+ on field employees spread across India who ensure minimum downtime during any fault conditions. This provides a sense of relief to the developers.
We also have a dedicated training facility at Karjat for Solar PV. Adding to it, we have developed e-learning modules which ensure every single employee is well trained and updated with technology changes in the industry.
  2. Cost constraints and performance loss
We maintain sufficient spares across all regions. This helps in reducing power generation loss and saves additional expenses during equipment breakdowns.
  3. Impact on Generation – External Factors
The complex nature of rooftop segments makes it susceptible to external damages by depositing fine particles on PV modules. These particles could come from new construction sites or from chimneys of processing industries of chemicals/cement/rubber. These issues often come as surprise and result in performance loss.At Teqo, our operations team is competent enough to identify such critical points and proactively plan and recommend an action plan to the developers. Operations is backed by a strong Analysis and Testing team who further help in digging out root causes for such issues.
  4. Impact on Generation – Unidentified/Internal Factors
Teqo’s Asset Managers regularly monitor the performance of the solar PV plant. Yet, sometimes there is loss in performance due to undetected reasons that lead to failure in meeting the budget figures. During such times, we carry out a deep data analysis, module testing and IV curve testing at site to identify the root causes and then take the necessary actions.
  5. Keeping track of insurance and inventory warranty for its timely renewal
As a part of Teqo’s comprehensive Asset Management Services, we ensure timely track and renewal of Asset Insurance and Inventory warranty.
  6. Safety & Quality Audits
At Teqo, we have a dedicated HSE team for carrying out audits, but in the era of digitalization we have adopted virtual safety and quality audit mechanisms, which allows us to carry out audits by sitting out in HO, still delivering best the results.
  7. Customer Satisfaction Index
Customer Satisfaction is part of Rise Pillar. We step into our customer’s shoes to understand their requirements and solve their problems. This helps us to build quality products and better relations with our customers that ultimately results in higher CSI score for us.
  8. Innovation
Innovation is an integral part of Teqo’s culture; we promote and motivate team members for Kaizen & Innovations. For example, water scarcity is identified as one of the major challenges at solar plants. To tackle this issue, our team has implemented various kaizens to ensure water conservation despite maintaining high cleaning efficiencies.
